Who I Am
I'm Christina Fecher — a writer, communicator, and proud West Michigander who has always believed in the power of a good story. I graduated from Michigan State University (Go Green!) with a degree in journalism and began my career as a reporter for The Detroit News, where my work earned multiple writing awards.
Over the years, I moved into public relations and corporate communications, serving in both state government and the private sector. No matter the setting, my focus has always been the same: thoughtful, strategic communication rooted in clarity, empathy, and impact — whether guiding teams through a crisis, shaping a brand's voice, or helping communities stay informed.
In 2025, I embraced a longtime dream to become a children's author. My debut children's book — rich with lyrical language and Michigan pride and beautifully illustrated by Robin Boyers — is slated for release in Spring 2026 through Wilson Lindberg Books, LLC. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I loved bringing it to life.
Michigan has always been home. I was born and raised in the Mitten and have lived in several regions across this great state. That deep sense of place helped inspire my debut children's book, which follows Santa as he spends his offseason exploring Michigan.
My writing is rooted in authenticity and shaped by everyday adventures with my husband, our two active teenagers, and our two lively fur babies.
