Author Christina Fecher, Illustrator Robin Boyer Launch Santa’s Summer Vacation in Michigan
MUSKEGON, Mich. – Wilson Lindberg Books, LLC is proud to present the debut children’s book, Santa’s Summer Vacation in Michigan, written by Christina Fecher and illustrated by Robin Boyer. The West Michigan duo collaborated on this whimsical tale that follows Santa and his team of elves on an unforgettable summer adventure across the Mitten State.
In Santa’s Summer Vacation in Michigan, the hustle of preparations at the North Pole leave Santa and his team feeling weary and in need of a well-earned break. Trading their winter boots for flip flops, they set off on their first-ever summer vacation in hopes of rekindling their holiday spirit while discovering the sights and sounds of Michigan along the way. The book features numerous Michigan-based Easter eggs in the illustrations.

“Working with Christina and Robin has been a joyful experience from start to finish. The release of this title marks an exciting milestone for Wilson Lindberg Books as we branch into the world of children’s books while maintaining our dedication to provide high-quality literature. Christina has poured her heart and soul into every word of this book,” said Hillary Halverson, Founder and CEO of Wilson Lindberg Books.
The paperback edition is available now on Amazon, with distribution to local bookstores and specialty retailers throughout Michigan expected in the coming weeks. Hardcover and eBook editions are scheduled for release in March 2026.
This debut title marks a new chapter for Fecher, an award-winning writer from Muskegon with more than 20 years of experience in journalism and strategic communications. A Michigan State University graduate, she spent six years as a reporter with The Detroit News before transitioning into corporate communications and public relations roles, supporting initiatives for the State of Michigan, and nationally recognized consumer brands, including Midwest retailer Meijer.
“When you’re a child, you’re allowed to have big, outrageous, once-in-a-lifetime dreams like to become an actor or professional athlete. It’s expected – encouraged, even,” said Fecher, noting that she began writing this story more than a decade ago when her daughter was five years old. “But as you get older and real-life sets in, those big dreams can start to feel out of reach. For me, becoming an author felt like that. Deep down, a part of me always believed this day would come, but it still feels surreal. This book represents years of creativity, countless stops and starts, setbacks and perseverance, and, most importantly, belief in an idea that refused to let go.”
Fecher said she is grateful to have connected with Boyer and Illinois-based publisher and author Halverson. From the outset, her goal was to assemble a Midwest-based, female-led creative team to bring her debut book to life.
“Working with talented women who not only understood this process but were willing to walk this journey alongside me mattered deeply,” she said. “When I met Robin and Hillary, everything just clicked. They are exceptional at what they do, and I’m honored to now count them as friends.”
For more than two decades, Boyer has been bringing stories to life with her enchanting illustrations in numerous picture and activity books. She delights in watching her characters embark on their adventures. Boyer lives in a quiet beach town with her loving family, an old dog and two sassy cats. When she’s not illustrating or with her family, she enjoys golfing, sunny beach days and wandering museums. Boyer’s work includes Charlotte and the Pine Cone Pile, Marmalade and Mittens Get a Marshmallow, Ivy Blue’s Greatest Pumpkin Playhouse, and Sammy’s Sad Day.
